Apparently Graham is having difficulty texting me so the following has been told me by Annie. It is still very wet they have been waiting for 5 hours to cross the border and think it will be at least another day before they can cross. They are having to camp out and are getting hungry as they have run out of army rations, haven't eaten since yesterday.

Well another night in the car, getting quite adept at it. 860 miles to Lake Baikal then the Mongolian border. Had wonderful lightning show, car holding up well, not even had to change a wheel yet. Lost others, wanted to stay in Noviverzk, think we could be one of the 1st teams.

Hi on way to Lake Baikal. Exhaust gave out, 200 miles of noise, deaf now. Got it welded, abandoned chase. Met some others last night, too much vodka, exhaust noise didn't help!

Well we're still going, 38 hours, 2 hours sleep in the car. Half way to Noviversk, still don't think we will catch them but Liz got the bit between her teeth. Car acting up a bit, recon shitty petrol and exhaust hanging on a wire, sounds like a racing car.

Nearing Omsk. Hit a pot hole last night, thought done it in but although sump guard a different shape seems ok. Done a long drive, 650 miles, 3 hours kip and off again, Liz wants to catch a team up, I know we can't but dogmatic I think is the word after all there're only 3 inches on the map in front e.g. 900 miles.

Hi. Been awake 32 hours now, 8 hours at Russian border. Liz cat knapped. Driving now just been through Rostov, if you think London traffic is bad, triple it, add to that they're all mad drivers. Convoy of 5 cars, car doing well.

Hi, well yesterday was a bad day, got ripped off by a country did not know existed called TRANVISTIER or something like that (if anybody has any ideas please email Tony). It's a game to them, 1st they say you have not got the right stamp from other country but for $US20 they can look the other way, there are 4 different departments, and they all notice this, and guess what, it all starts again going out, 6 hours on border. Then no where to sleep so slept in car. Hotel night before had no water in the morning so we smelt already. Then we started looking for a hotel in Odesa , well it has one or that's all anybody had heard of, £120 for us, as we were early got breakie though.

They arrived in Prague yesterday afternoon after taking a slight detour to Switzerland due to faulty internet info, or so Graham says.

Left there this morning, I gather a little hung-over, and have taken another, albeit intentional detour, to Vienna for lunch before heading off for Budapest (it's alright for some!).

Well they have finally got away, mind Graham did manage to break the front bumper, so running repairs had to be carried out at Hyde Park. Fortunately the rain stayed away in London until most of the cars had got away so it was a most enjoyable time seeing Liz and Graham off.

The last message I have seen from them was 15.00 21st July when they had arrived at Dover.

Well I have finally got a grand total for the hair cut - £474.10 - thanks to all who took part and contributed. I suppose I had better start growing it again so I can raise more money for Graham's next wild idea!

Well it's all off now (see gallery), haven't yet got a final figure of amount of money raised but it should be around £400 to £500. Half of the money will go to a local primary care trust, who are raising money to buy a syringe driver, and the rest to our charities. Thanks to everybody who supported us.

Well tonight is the night. All the hair comes off (see gallery) so if you are in the Dartford area come along to the 4 Lymes, Hawley Road, around 8 this evening!

Went to The Vine again last night to try and win the prize money at the quiz.  What a bummer!! We drew with another team and at the deciding question, they gave a closer answer and got to choose the envelope.  As they say, money always goes to money and they pulled the envelope for the money and so cleared the prize fund!  Seriously gutted!! One consolation - Nick won a DVD (South Park : The Movie) so at least we'll get a few laughs!!

Finally got 'JustGiving' pages set up so hopefully we will get more donations!

Quiz last night at The Vine, Tenterden.  Prize fund actually up to £257.00.  We came second!!!  How annoying!  Anyway, the winners drew the envelope with the Champagne in so at least we have another chance of winning the money in two weeks time - probably be £300 next time!!!.

We managed to get a place on the rally on Friday 9th March (which was not an easy task as 100 places went in 22 seconds)!!!!!!  Since then we have been trawling round for sponsorship and so far we are up to around £650 which is a n excellent start!

Graham and I are off out tonight (Sunday, 1st April) to try and win ourselves some sponsorship money at The Vine (pub) in Tenterden, Kent where they are running a quiz.  The winners get to choose one of three envelopes containing:  a) a bottle of Champagne, b) a gallon of beer, c) the entry money of the quiz goers (this has been rolled over for the last three quizzes and so the prize fund is up to about £200!)  All we have to do is win AND choose the right envelope!!!!  And if we don’t, well at least we will have had some beer and a laugh whilst trying!

I have contacted a range of big businesses and well known names for sponsorship by email last week but no takers yet.  Now I am on school half term (I’m training to be a teacher during the week and an estate agent at the weekend!!) I should be able to step up the operations and hopefully bring in some big bucks for the trip!!!!

Tony, our web magician is also working hard getting us sponsorship and is also going to have all of his hair cut off to raise money for charity at The 4 Lymes pub, Hawley Road, Dartford on the 19th May so if you are in the local area then please come along, join us for a beer and show some support!!!
