Hi, on the
floor in store room of hotel as all
hotels were full, charmed bar maid into
letting me stay, Den in van he drove on
really bad roads, done well. Pump still
giving trouble, had 1st puncture wheel
rim bent, going to try & fix pump
tomorrow (i.e. today now) next town 2
day trip minimum.

Well last
night was one of the worst of my life,
the fuel pump keeps packing up, have to
tap it with a hammer each time was 51
stops. We were lost on top of a mountain
with a force 8 gale blowing and just
below the snow line, bloody freezing but
we saw a truck and followed, now in
town, try to get van fixed and a wash.

morning so that they could enter
Mongolia.

Hi, am 200km
from border, met girl who helped us get
hotel, spoke English well, had local
food, Den not happy, I just laughed. Van
got a few probs but hope ok.

Hi, well in
Novosibirsk and just watched a full
eclipse, have not found other ralliers
but is about half the size of London
with the trafic as well, Chinese
tonight.

Omsk now, almost out of petrol with no
Russian money but ok.

Hi well we are
in a town near Omsk but still in Kazak. Aral
sea went out window when we found out we
took a wrong turn in the night, 400k wrong,
but no worries. Go a dif way then, van
stopped, bad fuel, fixed now. Now got a map,
Russia tomorrow. Hope as well at home. Den &

Well camping
tonight, roads too bad to drive at night, just
cooked Den 1st army ration meal, he said not
bad, hope we clear bad roads tomorrow, an
experience

Den wants to say Hi from
Papa, Graham says Well into Kazak now, roads are
bad, I broke the bath this morning, it upended,
the legs at one end broke, nearly broke me too.

Well just coming to
Volgograd, met up with Spanish team but they had a
cv boot go and are getting it done if spares
available so on our own again. Got ripped off by
Ukraine border guards, told us wrong crossing but
for $140 will be ok, load of rubbish but did not
fancy 600k detour so paid up, will write to embassy
in UK. Russian border guards were very slow but no
one even hinted at a bribe and were very friendly.

Sverdlovskaya Oblast, Russia) about 400 k south of
Kiev
Well
half way across Ukraine and it should be called yuk
rain as the rain has not stopped. Had a scare
yesterday, ATM told us no funds left but it told the
next 2 customers the same and got money ok, later
tried to get on net but not working either.

border quite easy. Last known location Lviv (Ukraine)

Hi all going well. too well as
visa dated 26 July so may slow it down. Den not used to
early mornings woke him up at 5.30 told it was 6.30

Well they got away ok and last seen
in the middle of a jam trying to get out of the
park. Haven't had any texts to date. P.S. I raised
£174 getting my hair & beard cut, thanks to all who
contributed. |
